Taste of Colorado

Always a good time, be sure to spend some time this weekend at Civic Center Park with live music and delicious cuisine from over 50 local restaurants and food trucks. Enjoy all weekend long from September 2nd – 5^th. The Taste of Colorado is a favorite Labor Day weekend tradition that makes the end of summer easier to swallow.

Riot Fest

You don’t want to miss Riot Fest at the National Western Complex September 2^nd-4^th. Featuring three awesome days jam packed with live music from bands like Jane’s Addiction, Death Cab for Cutie, Ween, Julian Marley and Bad Religion. Get the full line up here. Denver Food & Wine Festival

Another great way to spend the holiday weekend. Who doesn’t like food and wine? Especially in Denver with its exquisite culinary atmosphere. The festival begins September 6^th and is a 6 day celebration that runs until September 11. The grand tasting event is September 10^th and features 40 top restaurants and 700+ wine and spirits. While technically not taking place over Labor Day weekend, this is one festival you will not want to miss!  Check out highlights from last year’s festival here.

Denver Art Museum’s Women of Abstract Expressionism

If you are an art lover, you will not want to miss this exhibit. With more than 50 paintings from unknown female artists from the east and west coasts, this exhibit highlights abstract expressionism from the 1940s and 1950s. Learn about the unknown female artists of the mid-twentieth-century art movement. Time is short and before you know it, this exhibit will be moving out of Denver. So be sure to include this on your “to do” list this weekend! September 25^th is the final day to experience this exhibit.

Fise World Denver – USA

For some serious action, check out Fise World Denver – USA. This event features amateur and top professional athletes competing in skateboarding and BMX events right here in Denver. Watch as they take over Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex this weekend. The thrill of these extreme sports begin September 3rd and run through September 5^th. Get your tickets now so you don’t miss Denver’s extreme sporting event of the summer.
